The food receives rave reviews, with signature dishes like the Assorted Pepper Soup and Jollof Rice being community favorites. These dishes not only reflect authentic flavors but also showcase skillful preparation that leaves diners wanting more. Many return for the Suya Skewers, which are perfect for those looking for a quick yet satisfying bite. The cleanliness of the establishment also gets frequent mentions, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable dining environment.
Some patrons have mentioned that on busy weekends, the restaurant can become quite crowded, which may lead to longer wait times for food and service. For those looking for a more intimate dining experience, this may be a drawback, especially if you're visiting during peak hours.
Another point of concern for some guests is the limited menu options for those unfamiliar with Nigerian cuisine. While the authenticity of the dishes is widely celebrated, some diners feel that more descriptions or guidance on menu items would enhance their experience. However, the staff is often happy to recommend popular selections, mitigating this issue.
Excellent Meal. Excellent Staff. I reside in London but go to Church in Hertfordshire. After Church last Sunday, I searched online for a Restaurant close to my Church. I went there but it was closed. Thankfully I saw a stranger in a car in the Parking Lot whete I'd been directed by Google. He looked Nigerian and he advised that indeed the Restaurant I had been directed to by the Search Engine - was not open. I explained that I have my regular Restaurant in London but I thought since I was in Hertfordshire I'd try something different. For all you know he mat have been an angel because his appearance was timely. He told me to go to Stevenage instead that this Restaurant was well known with nice food. I thanked this kind gentleman. I once again typed Restaurant in Stevenage and it highlighted "Ogori". I was nervous as I drove all the way to this place - praying and hoping that the journey worth it. There was no need. The "Ogori" Restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Well laid out and gorgeous- A place you would be proud to take friends who want to try Nigerian food. The food was DELICIOUS. I purchased Take away so I could eat it in the luxu6of my own home and freeze the others - because I purchased a lot. I wish I had purchased more food - It was delicious. The lady who cooked it was polite and nice. The gentleman behind the bar was equally polite and kind. In fact his Manners were impeccable because he noticed I had a walking stick; my handbag and two bags of food from their restaurant and he offered to carry the food for me to my car. Nice to know chivalry is not dead. I highly recommend this beautifully decorated Restaurant, wonderful food and lovely staff members. As a woman in my 60s who has resided in Britain for decades, I have tried various Restaurants here in the UK and some have been top notch; disappointing or worse. Some are top notch with regards to their food but other areas let them down. This Restaurant was not only top notch for it's food but top notch all round! That is saying something. Hod bless that stranger who recommended this Stevenage Restaurant. The irony is he didn't mention the name but he said the minute you search the name will come up. He was right. He said he goes there with his family regularly and mentioned it had a nice Bar etc. If I resided in Hertfordshire I would be a regular. Hope they open up a Branch in London- North of the River. The owners of this Restaurant should be proud for creating a lovely restaurant- with a beautiful ambience and it was very clean; Tasty food and Well mannered welcoming Staff. God bless all of them
